Coachella Weekend 1: Celebrity Style Watch

The first weekend of Coachella has already come and gone… With rocking performances from artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Vampire Weekend, The Yeah Yeah Yeah’s, and Modest Mouse- it was definitely a weekend to remember. While you were dancing to some of your favorite musicians, you may have noticed a celebrity (or two) standing a few feet away. Coachella draws all types of celebrities- whether it’s actors, other musicians, or models, out to the blistering sun of the desert. Here at Lady Lux, we love paying attention to what all the celebrities wear while at Coachella. These celebrities tend to ditch their designer handbags and blowouts for a more bohemian and indie look. We’ve put together some of our favorite looks from the first weekend of Coachella.

Just because you’re in the desert doesn’t mean you can’t wear your designer swimwear. In fact, what better place to wear a bikini?! These must have been some of Alessandra Ambrosio’s exact thoughts, because we caught her wearing a white bikini underneath some of her clothing while at Coachella. We love how every year, Alessandra manages to maintain a casual look- without losing feminine touches, such as her breezy skirt. We found a similar look with pieces from Forever 21, Steve Madden, and American Eagle. Most importantly, we felt our Truly, Madly, Deeply bikini in white would work great underneath the denim button-down (left unbuttoned- of course) from American Eagle. Our favorite detail? The pop of red from the purse! It brings out the red in the skirt and also is a great statement piece!

If you’re looking for a way to transform your luxury swimwear into something a little edgier, try going for a look such as Sophia Bush’s. What drew us to this look were the thigh-high slits in the maxi skirt- adding a sexy touch to this tougher look. We found a similar patterned skirt at Brandy Melville. Rather than pairing the skirt with a solid black bikini top, we figured the slight pattern on the She’s Got A Way bikini top from Lady Lux complimented the pattern in the skirt. Besides, pattern-mixing is a great trend right off of the spring runways! The hardware in the She’s Got A Way top also works great with the look- coordinating perfectly with the black and gold necklace from Forever 21.

Here are just a few other of our favorite looks from Weekend 1- hopefully sparking some inspiration for you for Weekend 2! We can’t wait to see what Coachella part 2 has to offer and what celebs will be making an appearance!
