We have all been guilty of making up excuses instead of getting to the gym. Instead of just saying yes, our minds race through reasons why we shouldn’t go and why we shouldn’t feel guilty about not going. But now that summer is here there is finally a huge reason to get the bikini bodies we have always wanted and rock our favorite designer swimwear at the beach. It’s now or never ladies, let’s get ourselves motivated to hit the gym and give it our all so we can show off our bodies in luxury swimwear!
1. Set Short Term Goals
The best way to stick with new lifestyle changes is to not overwhelm ourselves. Instead of trying to run 7 miles a day, first try going for a walk. This method could be used towards a healthier diet as well. Instead of cutting out all unhealthy food from our diet all at once, first try to drink more water instead of soda. Setting small goals makes it easier to stick to them instead of giving up after a week.
2. Eliminate excuses
Try not to think about all the reasons why you shouldn’t go, and start thinking about the reasons why you should go. Being able to feel confident in anything you wear is a great reason to work your hardest.
3. Do something you love doing
Going to the gym can get boring, in order to keep your exercises fun and exciting try doing new things. Take a spin class and get your sweat on while listening to some amazing music, go for a hike and watch the sunrise in the morning, or even go dancing with your best friends on a Friday night. There are so many great ways to get your body moving and get fit while having a good time.
4. Be positive
While working out, it is hard to stay motivated when you don’t see any results. But change takes time and we shouldn’t body-shame or compare ourselves to others while we reach our goals. The most important thing to do is love ourselves and stay positive while achieving our goals.
