We all have tried it and gotten distracted. With work and the business of life, working out is the first thing that is put on the “wait” list of our day, the “if-I-have-time”. But think about it, an hour workout is only 4% of your 24 hour day, I repeat, 4%! An hour workout can be spent doing many different types of workouts. Start somewhere: Walk for a minute, Jog for another!

 

Option #1: Walking & Jogging

 

With the warm weather coming and long days, going for a run is the perfect way to enjoy a beautiful summer afternoon! Not all of us are born with cardio endurance, so start out slow! Start off with a slow jog around your neighborhood or the beach, keep a steady pace and set goals to your run. Continue doing this every day for a week and then begin turning your jog into a run! An hour walk/ jog may not seem like much but it will get your blood pumping and releasing endorphins, making you feel accomplished and happy!

Working out in a class environment is not only fun but encouraging!

 

Option #2: Go to a class!

 

I love attending yoga and Pilates classes! It is really fun to work out with others while having a person directing you on moves and correcting you when necessary. It is also encouraging when you work out with others; bring your friends with you! I have found these classes to be not only fun but a great way to make that hour of working out fly by!

Option #3: Workout with the Gurus

 

It is incredible to see how it easy it is to find workouts online. Whether it is online or on a DVD, find your favorite guru! The Tone it Up Girls Karena and Katrina have a 5-week bikini body guide that will get you sweating and seeing results! This is a fun way to work out since you have a guideline. Another favorite is Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser. She will push you to your limit and encourage you the whole way throughout the video!
