Growing up in the 90’s, lead me to love the glamorous, tiny fashionista, Barbie – much like most girls my age. Whether I wanted her to go to the ball or style home with Ken, she was always looking fierce with all the cute garb I styled her with. But once there were bigger prioritizes in life, Barbie and I became distant friends only to reunite on Christmas to decorate the tree with ornaments of her alter-ego. Today we get to relive our childhood memories and get her rocking some serious sexy Designer Swimwear. Happy National Barbie Day! Get Styling!
Barbie is all about feeling pretty in pink, but glitz and glam are her favorite accessories. The Sweet Talker Bandeau Luxury Swimsuit is everything our typical Barbie gal would love. With a mix of popping colors to the jeweled necklace halter, anything-but-basic Barbie is going to look sweet and sexy. Since we already have so much going on up top, let’s opt for a cute beach hat and some heels – gotta show off Barbie’s long legs!
Classic, elegant, poised. Barbie has got it down, but Lady Lux wanted to add a little seductiveness to her swim wardrobe. The Pretty Woman Monokini has more coverage to balance out the deep cut outs and rhinestone sparkles to add a little glam. Slip on the Feather bracelet and Sweet Talker Beach Bag and Barbie is set to go to the pool!
Besides Barbie being sweet and classy, we all remember her other alter-ego’s that made things a little more exciting; Jungle Barbie, Safari Barbie, and Cruise Barbie just to name a few. Tribal Temptation Barbie is a new alter-ego specialty of Lady Lux. With a pop of orange in such a neutral pattern we paired Tribal Barbie with the Audrey Beach Hat and the gold Jeni Bracelet. Looking wild, Barbie!
Barbie was established 1959 and has become an icon for the past 66 years. Young girls everywhere have looked to her for style inspiration and dreams of one day meeting their Ken. We all grow up, but our love for Barbie never fades.
Happy National Barbie Day, everyone!
