Elisabeth Hasselbeck has sure come a long way from her Survivor days. For those of you who have forgotten, Hasselbeck was cast for Survivor Australia at the fresh young age of 24. From there, she stole the hearts of America as the adorable sweetheart. Since the show, she has evolved in more ways than one- marrying her long-term college boyfriend (football quarterback Tim Hasselbeck), landing a spot on the View, and (most recently) scoring a spot as a new anchor for Fox News. Elisabeth has just announced the switch- which is set to take place in September of this year. During her time on The View, we have loved watching her style evolve into a fresh, stylish, wife and mother. She goes to show that just because you’re married with kids, doesn’t mean you have to dress like it. We love getting inspiration from her daytime talk style and translating them into our designer swimwear looks.
Elisabeth is best known for her ability to pull off a mature (yet not frumpy) feminine style. She’s so often spotted in various shades of pink and pastel- in styles that are flattering for her figure without looking like she’s dressing too young. Being only 5’4″, Elisabeth has to be careful of various cuts and silhouettes. Regarding swimwear, it’s best to wear cuts that are lighter on the fabric- to cut down on bulkiness in order to elongate the figure. Elisabeth has a great figure- so she might as well show that off. The soft purple in the Heaven Can’t Wait bikini are perfect to pull off the feminine look Elisabeth so often sports. Another foolproof option? Pink- such as the Melt Away bikini. Both of these styles are easy on the hardware, making them age appropriate while still remaining flattering to a petite figure.
Fun prints are another easy way to stay on trend while having the flexibility to wear different cuts and styles. Chevron is a huge print for summer, as seen on Elisabeth. By adding in some bright colors, you’ll be sure to stand out. This fun print comes in two different cuts in our luxury swimwear. Call On Me has more turquoise hues to the print and is a fixed triangle, as opposed to the sliding triangle of Crazy For You. If you’re feeling a bit more conservative, the fixed triangle is a great option because not only is there more stability on the band under the bust, but there’s also more coverage throughout the triangle.
Brights of all shades are also huge for summer, especially when it comes to swimwear. Elisabeth gives a great example of one of the popular trends with brights- color blocking. If you’re feeling bold- try mixing and matching some swimwear colors. Use a bright coral like Pretty Young Thing or bright turquoise like Paradise. Layer on contrasting colors with your accessories and jewelry. The trend is easy to pull off while, again, having the flexibility to choose cuts and styles that suit your needs!
