Let’s begin our leg workout with some old-fashioned squats. Yes ladies, feel the burn. If you are feeling up for the challenge, throw in a side leg lift when you bounce back up from your squat- this will burn that extra calorie we want. Another oldie but goodie are lunges. Form on these is critical, keep your chest up and walk out those lunges. Do three sets of ten for both of these workouts. Oh abs… we have a love-hate relationship with these. Just remember ladies, while it may hurt in the process, just think about how good you will look! Planks are our best friend when it comes to working out our bellies. Start with a 30-second plank, repeat 3 times. Once again, throw in an extra leg lift to push your limit. Crunches are also important. These will define your abs, while planks will flatten your belly. For abs, lay on your back and bring up both your legs and upper body to the point where they start to quiver. While in that position, bring your legs in and out- do 3 sets of 15. We love toned arms!

Lastly ladies, arms. It is so easy to forget about toning our arms. And yes, these moves will get you feeling sore but looking great. Grab a set of weights and start off with doing 20 bicep curls. These will get you warmed up and feeling it quick. The second move will be 90 degree exercise with dumbbells also. Simply open your arms to shoulder length and bring it back- do 3 sets of 15. Homemade Smoothies for that Dream Bikini Body

Everyone loves a tasty smoothie to cool off with in the summer. Smoothies, however, aren’t just a summertime treat anymore. Make fresh, homemade smoothies year-round as a meal replacement or even as a tasty way to make sure you get the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables. According to the USDA, the daily recommendation of fruits and vegetables for women aged 19-30 is 2 cups and 2 1/2 cups respectively.  All you need is a blender and some fruits and vegetables! Some people prefer to add supplements (protein powder, vitamins, minerals, etc.) but these are all optional. Below, you’ll find some of our favorite smoothie recipes. Keep in mind that these recipes aren’t set in stone. Add (or take out) anything you’d like to make it your own! Homemade Smoothies for that Dream Bikini Body

1. Green Smoothie: If you fear that you aren’t getting enough green, leafy vegetables in your diet, try out a green smoothie. This smoothie works great as a breakfast.  For an even more satisfying breakfast, add a cup of protein powder. This will keep you satisfied and full of energy all morning long. Simply blend the following ingredients together and you’re good to go!

What you’ll need:

1 apple                                                 1 cup pineapple

2 cups of spinach                              4 leaves of kale

1/2 bunch of parsley                       1 banana or 1 avocado (to make the smoothie creamy!)

Ice and/or water

2. If  you have a major sweet tooth, try a homemade chocolate smoothie. While it may sound too good to be true, it’s very possible. The key to a chocolate shake is to add nuts to it. Whether you prefer almonds, cashews, or walnuts, nuts should be added to give the smoothie a richer flavor and a ton of nutritional value.

What you’ll need:

1/3 cup of nuts                                  1 tablespoon raw cacao

Handful of dates                              1 cup water

3. Lastly, we have the berry-yogurt smoothie. Berries are loaded with antioxidants and yogurt is a great source of protein and probiotics.

What you’ll need:

1 cup strawberries                           1 cup blueberries
