Jennifer Lawrence Pulls Off Spring’s Hottest Hues

Jennifer Lawrence has gone from an up-and-coming teen star to a full-fledged Hollywood A-Lister seemingly overnight. Her style choices are often fairly safe, but elegantly classic. She chooses classic silhouettes that flatter her curves and shape to perfection. While not all of us may be able to pull off some of the silhouettes she’s so often seen in (i.e. the Dior stunner from the Oscar’s), it definitely is possible to take inspiration from her color choices.

Bright teal is one of our favorite colors for the season. The Paradise bandeau is not only similar to the teal dress Jennifer was spotted in, but the slight shimmer in the fabric adds an extra touch of glamour. Add in the aqua jewelry at the center as well as each hip and the swimsuit screams luxury swimwear. The color is also fairly easy to pull off for a few different skin tones. If you haven’t quite gotten the tan you’ve been hoping for yet, the color isn’t so bright that it washes you out. If you’re lucky enough to sport a beautiful golden tan, the bright color bounces off the tan and really pops.

While black may not be a “bright hue”, it’s a popular color choice for designer swimwear lovers across the board. It also (believe it or not) is a hard color to pull off while still managing to stand out. Jennifer Lawrence shows us a great way to wear the color- with some perfectly placed cutouts. The cutouts keep the color youthful and will ensure that you still stand out at the pool or beach. Sexy monokinis like Love Bound are a great option when trying to achieve that cutout effect. Otherwise, you could go for a sexy basic black bikini such as Truly, Madly, Deeply with extra detail like the gold hardware on the straps.

Jennifer Lawrence is definitely a fan of the basics- white and black. She definitely pulls those shades off with grace and class, but we also love it when she’s spotted in brighter hues. For this photo shoot, she paired a royal purple top with a burnt orange pencil skirt- a risky combination that really stood out. The color of her top is a showstopper, similar to Unforgettable. To achieve Jennifer’s look, pair the purple suit with some orange jewelry and accessories. A good tip- when looking to accessorize with opposite colors than what you’re wearing, shoot for complimentary colors (or colors opposite from one another on the color wheel) and then go one or two shades to the right or left to avoid looking like a school mascot (who often choose complimentary colors).

The Annual Met Gala Red Carpet Report

The annual star-studded Met Gala took place in New York City last night. From movie stars to models, everyone who was anyone seemed to make an appearance. With the theme of last night’s event being “Punk: Chaos to Couture”, we were sure to get an eyeful of some interesting ensembles. While some stars decided to tame down the “punk” theme, others went all out. Either way, we loved looking at some of the recurring trends from last night and thinking about how to carry those over to our designer swimwear.

One of our favorite looks of the night had to have been Miranda Kerr. While it’s true, Kerr looks amazing in just about anything she wears, she really pulled off her Michael Kors dress with ease and sophistication. The cutout trend seems to be huge for this current season. Whether you choose to rock that trend with a monokini like Love Bound or Drive Me Wild, you’ll be sure to nail it. Another trend Kerr is implying? The bandeau! Bandeau’s layered under cutout t-shirts or blouses are a great way to add some extra color or sparkle to your look. Fun bandeau‘s like Paradise and Heartless 2013 are great options to use when layering your look.

Another favorite of ours was Jessica Alba, who wore a gorgeous Tory Burch dress. The dress was leather and featured smaller, feminine cutouts as well as two larger, and more bold cutouts. We loved the overall effect of the pattern, similar to the Sipping Pretty bikini and monokini. Leather is also huge for this season, which is one of the many reasons we love the leather accents on luxury swimwear such as Drive Me Wild, Crazy For You, and Call On Me.

Being a punk theme, the color of choice seemed to be black (for obvious reasons). Black is a great, classic color. Jennifer Lawrence’s dress took classic to the next level. Her Christian Dior dress paid great homage to Old Hollywood starlets, while the color added to the “punk” feel. Black is always a great option, especially when it comes to your designer swimwear. Choices like Pretty Young Thing and Truly, Madly, Deeply are great staples to have in your wardrobe.

Who were some of your favorites from the Gala last night?

Jennifer Lawrence in Black and White Glamour

Black and white will always be timeless. It reminds us of the days when TV didn’t have color and the movie stars taking their magazine shots in a world of black and white.  Designer swimwear complements this world of glam by adding an element of mix and matching.  Having no color is not a negative thing when you can have your checkered stripes to complement the nautical season.  The world of mixing the two colors is a reminisce of the days with Dorothy Dandridge and Audrey Hepburn.  Classy ladies with lots of talents to show to the world.

Talking about black and white being glamorous, Jennifer Lawrence is the new Miss Dior spokes model.  She looks so stunning in the campaign she leaves us breathless.  Her performance since Hunger Games has been nothing short of stellar.  So happy to see her climbing the ranks of young Hollywood Fashion.  Get your black and white mood by choosing luxury swimwear in Truly Madly Deeply (white) and Truly Madly Deeply (black).

When you wear your luxury swimwear in black you have the option to either pick a white accessory to pair the bathing suit or go for a white bottom or top.  White acts as an accent color to your designer swimwear and helps trick people into thinking you have a room at home full of bathing suits.

Having glam means you’re able to carry forth a style like you own it.  Jennifer Lawrence is so statuesque in her stance and grace.  If you want to wear black and white, go for the contrast look or the stripes.  Stripes also have a way of refreshing your whole entire look.  Finish off with a clutch purse and some wedge heels for the summer.  It’s amazing how a color block effect works for neutral colors as well.  A checkered scarf can do wonders to an otherwise plain outfit.  Always be accessorizing that’s the motto.

The Princess Gowns at the Oscars 2013

Fashion night out at the Oscars 2013 is such a treat.  Seeing all the celebrities looking sophisticated in their outfits inspires our wardrobe colors.  Ligh and gold was where the palette was.  It’s a chance to get that insider peek into spring styles and upcoming trends.  What a glamorous night full of inspiration.  From film to the red carpet, who knew The Academy Awards would be a place to get the creative ideas for a summer designer swimwear wardrobe.

I’m starting to think about my luxury swimwear.  The summer is coming and I’m watching all the celebs arrive on the red carpet with colors and accessories.  Designer swimwear is going to be hot when I mix in my color palette with all this inspirations! The red carpet looks colorful and I can’t wait to see who ranks best dressed and worst dressed.

To begin with, I was in awe of the actresses who arrived on the red carpet looking very princess-like.  The gowns were simply gorgeous.  Jennifer Lawrence wore a blush colored Dior gown, Amy Adams wore a layered Oscar De La Renta, Amanda Seyfried wore an Armani Prive gown while Catherine Zeta Jones looked golden in a Zuhair Murad gown.  I love how charming these starlets looked in their princess inspired gowns.  Her gown is so precious and the luxury swimwear potential can be found in Truly Madly Deeply.

It’s not just about the awards at the Oscars, it’s all about the after party and celebs are looking forward to celebrating the end of the award season.  This exclusive club is reaping their rewards and we can’t wait to see them at Vanity Fair Party and the Governer’s Ball!

The color paletts chosen by Jennifer Lawrence, Amy Adams, Amanda Seyfried and Catherine Zeta Jones are enchanting.  These celebrities wore them well.  Their accessories were minimal so it really allowed the garment to shine.  They are definitely on our best dressed list.
