Miami Swim Week- Going Strong

As we head into the 3rd official day of Miami Swim Week, things could not be going better! We are loving showing off the new line of designer swimwear and can’t wait to share it with all of our valued customers and fans! Best of all, the city of Miami Beach could not be a more beautiful location- especially for showing off our luxury swimwear. The city is inspiring us to put together some swimwear looks for those of you out there who are visiting Miami, live in Miami, or just want a Miami-inspired look!

As we mentioned before, color-blocking is huge right now. We figured we would take another new spin on the trend with the Melt Away bikini. The bikini is along the more casual side of looks, but still chic- so we paired it with a breezy turquoise maxi dress. The dress is sheer enough to still get a glimpse of the gorgeous swimwear you’ve layered underneath. Pair the turquoise maxi with coral accessories like the bright coral wedges (perfect for the beach), earrings, and belt. When it comes to your makeup- keep it simple in order to not distract from your beautiful outfit. Breezy, long beach curls and a nude gloss polish up your look. Don’t forget the coral nail polish for that extra special finishing touch!

Another hard-to-ignore factor of Miami Beach is its beautiful people, dressed in some of the sexiest clothing around. So, our second look is definitely for those of you who want to bring out some Latin sex-appeal in your look like in the city of Miami Beach. Sipping Pretty is one of Lady Lux Swimwear‘s sexiest cuts, and also one of the most popular styles. Pair it with a white skirt (to keep it looking beach-ready) which features a sexy high-low hemline. Bring the heat with some red-hot accessories like the red wedges, red tote, and (of course) red nail polish. Keep the look glam with gold jewelry in order to match the beautiful gold hardware on the suit. As far as beauty goes- don’t be afraid to wear a little more makeup with this look. After all, this kind of girl is not one to be doing laps in the pool… So, put on some dramatic false lashes and pile on the extensions for the ultimate glam, sexy look- perfect for Miami Beach.

Is anyone else in Miami Beach right now? We would love to see what beach looks you’ve pulled together using your designer swimwear! Send us some pics and we’ll re-post them!

Miami Swim Show Trend Report

The talk of the industry this time of year is centered around one thing- the annual Miami Swim Show. A fashion trade show for everything related to swimwear, beaches, pools, and everything that falls in between those categories. It’s always fun to see what new styles luxury swimwear companies like Lady Lux come out with, but we like to predict ahead of time what we will see at the show starting Saturday, and what will make a presence at the end of the year as well as for 2014…

Youthful, bright prints have definitely started to make their mark for the summer of 2013, but we don’t see an end to this trend. Specifically speaking, striped patterns such as chevron really took off- and we’re pretty sure they’ll be sticking around for the 2014 collections due to their overwhelming popularity. In both the Call On Me as well as Crazy For You bikinis, the chevron prints have been kicked up a notch with trendy, bright colors like purple and aqua. Similarly, Ready Or Naut features a youthful striped print. With nautical inspiration, this suit was a huge hit around national holidays such as Memorial Day and Fourth of July. Is it possible nautical striped suits will be even bigger in 2014? We definitely think so!

Running along the same concept as the colorful striped prints, powerful florals also took off in late spring/early summer of this year. The ever-feminine print took a unique twist when paired with black, like in More Than A Feeling. The print turned out to be one of our best sellers! It’ll be interesting to see what other colored florals will be huge for 2014, as we’re sure this popular style print is here to stay. Other favorites from 2013 include Floral Fantasy and Secret Escape.

Last (but definitely not least), we think sexy cutout monokinis are going to be HUGE again for 2014. This style swimwear took off in 2013 with the introduction of super-sexy cuts like the Sipping Pretty monokini, one of our best selling suits. Customers seemed to like the variation of not only cuts, but colors, such as the Heaven Can’t Wait monokini, also one of our best-sellers. With options like these, the Drive Me Wild monokini, and many more- we’re sure we’ll be seeing more sexy monokinis for 2014 all around, and we can’t wait to see what fun cuts and colors will be available!

What designer swimwear trends were your favorite for 2013? What trends do you look forward to hopefully seeing for 2014? We hope you’re as excited as we are for the new year and new swimwear!

Welcome to Miami

It’s that time of year again, time for the annual Miami Swim trade show! We have touched down in Miami this morning and are more than excited to meet with retailers and distributors to share what we’ve been working so hard on for 2014! Most of all, that means we’re that much closer to sharing the collection with you, our trusted customers and fans! In honor of the fun week ahead in the beautiful Miami, we’ve put together some fun Miami Beach luxury swimwear looks inspired by the colorfully vibrant city!

Miami is a city with culture. A city that loves fun, bright colors and prints. So what better way to dress for the beach than with both?! The Crazy For You bikini features a trendy chevron print- perfect for the beach and for trendy Miami. The bright colors in the bikini will pop against the sand and against all of the bright colors throughout the city (buildings, water… everything seems to be full of color). How would we style the Crazy For You bikini? A fresh, white maxi skirt keeps the focus on the bright bikini. Paired with brown wedges (perfectly basic for the beach) as well as purple accessories, you’ll be the talk of the town in your designer swimwear. Style your hair in loose, beachy curls to keep with the semi-glam theme and your look is complete!

Our next look features the Paradise bandeau and is even brighter than the first look. Color blocking is a huge trend for summer, and what better way to sport the trend than with your luxury swimwear? We loved the color blocking of turquoise and coral in the Melt Away bikini so much, we figured we would try it out large-scale with the Paradise bandeau. Style the bandeau with coral accessories like this coral maxi skirt- which features a sheer paneling effect which has enough modesty for the day, but remains sexy. Beachy accessories include a straw tote and brown sandals. By sweeping the hair off your shoulders in a chic, braided bun- you can show off the braided strap detail of the bandeau.

Other style tips that are great for Miami Beach? Remember, the city is known for its hot weather and even hotter people- so keep your look sexy. Lady Lux has the perfect sexy suits for the city and we can’t wait to show them off at the swim trade show!

Put your Spring Into Summer with Sexy Bikinis

I get so giddy for spring because I know all the beautiful transitions that will give way to summer.  There I am in my designer swimwear ready to hit the beach.  I can not wait.  It seems to me that Rita Rusic agrees with me.  She looked hot at Miami Beach in a red hot piece of luxury swimwear.  This sexy lady is toned!  Get your color combination on with Pretty Young Thing (Coral).

This Croatian singer, actress and producer hit the beach at 52 looking so hot it burns our eyes.  It’s all about the workout ladies.  Keep that lifestyle out and your luxury swimwear days will be prolonged.  She totally looks strong and athletic. Check out that posture and those abdominal muscles!

Spring is a time when you’re busting out your fashion game and making an entrance in less heavier clothes.  It’s really a time to prepare for summer.  Summer is colorful and experimental.  It’s a time to rock patterns and a time to venture into color combinations.  Don’t be scared to throw yourself into an energetic taste of designs.  You can be fashionable and fearless in designer swimwear just as much as you are in your street clothes!

The other thing I love about the summer are the summer dresses.  Eva Longoria is wearing hers very well.  I like the deep rich color and the white incorporated into the whole look.  This patterns are to dye for.  They mimic that whole checkered look without quite being checkered.  Pair that short dress with some serious gladiator heels and your legs will go on for miles.  This outfit is what you call a head-turner. The legs, the length, the hair and the bag! Wow!  The greatest thing about this dress is also the airy nature of it.  You can beat the heat looking fashionable and sexy.  Get your pattern game on with the Heaven Can’t Wait Monokini.
