Last but not least, be patient! If it were fast and easy, everyone would do it! The best way to see results is by staying consistent! If you’re tired of starting, stop quitting! Get a huge water bottle and make yourself drink at least 2 refills a day! Living a healthy life is a great step to self improvement!

We have all been guilty of making up excuses instead of getting to the gym. Instead of just saying yes, our minds race through reasons why we shouldn’t go and why we shouldn’t feel guilty about not going. But now that summer is here there is finally a huge reason to get the bikini bodies we have always wanted and rock our favorite designer swimwear at the beach. 1. Set Short Term Goals

The best way to stick with new lifestyle changes is to not overwhelm ourselves. Instead of trying to run 7 miles a day, first try going for a walk. This method could be used towards a healthier diet as well. Instead of cutting out all unhealthy food from our diet all at once, first try to drink more water instead of soda. Setting small goals makes it easier to stick to them instead of giving up after a week.

2. Eliminate excuses

Try not to think about all the reasons why you shouldn’t go, and start thinking about the reasons why you should go. Being able to feel confident in anything you wear is a great reason to work your hardest.

3. Do something you love doing

Going to the gym can get boring, in order to keep your exercises fun and exciting try doing new things. Take a spin class and get your sweat on while listening to some amazing music, go for a hike and watch the sunrise in the morning, or even go dancing with your best friends on a Friday night. There are so many great ways to get your body moving and get fit while having a good time.

4. Be positive

While working out, it is hard to stay motivated when you don’t see any results. But change takes time and we shouldn’t body-shame or compare ourselves to others while we reach our goals.  The most important thing to do is love ourselves and stay positive while achieving our goals.

But in order to feel your best at the beach working out and being healthy is very important. This summer let’s try our best to become better, healthier individuals by working out more and eating junk food less. After all, being healthy, happy and confident is the best way to pull off designer swimwear!

A great way to motivate yourself to get to the gym is by following different work-out related Instagram accounts. It gives you a constant reminder to hit the gym and get fit, even if you just came home from an exhausting day at work. Some Instagram accounts even post different workouts you can do to tone areas you’re not too confident about. Getting to the gym is always the hardest part, but once you’re there it’s easy to give it your all.

It is important to remember that consistency is key and results don’t happen overnight. Don’t be discouraged if you workout for a week and don’t see any results yet. Everyone’s bodies are different, try your best to not give up and get at least 30 minutes to an hour of exercise in each day, no matter how you feel.

Summer is always a very hard time to eat healthy. Whether it’s going to an amusement park, where the only food you can get is cotton candy, funnel cake, and hot dogs or going out to dinner with your friends and ordering way too many margaritas, not realizing how many calories is in just one. It is not easy to eat healthy when eating unhealthy is so much more fun! In order to feel less guilty about the food we eat on the weekend, let’s start eating healthier throughout the weekdays. A great way to not grab the first bag of junk food you see when you’re hungry is to meal prep. A huge reason why people turn to fast food is because they are too lazy to make a healthier option. If you set aside time to prep your meals for the week it becomes so much easier to choose a healthier option.
